Who We Are

A licensed Egyptian entity.
Purpose-built for beauty.

Continental Import Export is the Egyptian importer of record for international professional beauty brands entering the market through a controlled, authorized structure. We hold the commercial registration, import license, and regulatory approvals required to move product legally — and we manage the full compliance chain from origin documentation through customs clearance and EDA inspection.

Our foundation is infrastructure, but our role runs deeper. Alongside the licensing, customs, and compliance backbone, our in-house leadership shapes how each brand enters and grows, selecting the right distribution and marketing channels for a diverse portfolio and making sure every product arrives correctly, licensed, marked, inspected, and released only to authorized distributors.

Importer of Record

We hold legal responsibility for everything that enters Egypt under our registration. That means full accountability at customs, with the Egyptian Drug Authority, and across the supply chain.

Regulatory Interface

We manage the relationship with the EDA and GOEIC on behalf of brands. Product registration, composition submissions, inspection coordination — all handled through us.

Enforcement Leverage

As the sole registered importer for each brand, unauthorized product becomes a regulatory matter. Grey market imports don't just get discouraged — they become actionable through official channels.

Core Services

Everything between the brand
and the Egyptian market.

Product Registration

Managing all required documentation and authority submissions for legal market entry. We handle the full registration process with the Egyptian Drug Authority — compositions, labeling, approvals — before a single unit moves.

Customs Clearance

Full management of import procedures from port arrival through final release. Classification, duty compliance, documentation — handled correctly, every time.

Unit Marking & Traceability

Every unit that passes through Continental is laser marked and fully traceable. This is what makes enforcement real — unauthorized product can be identified and actioned, not just spotted.

Controlled Release

Product is released only to approved distributors operating within the authorized structure. Nothing moves outside the chain.

Why It Matters

"Egypt already has demand for premium professional beauty. What it has been missing is a licensed, accountable structure for how product enters and moves through the market."

Import Process

Seven steps. No shortcuts.
Every time.

Every product imported through Continental follows the same defined process. This is what makes the system reliable — and what makes it defensible when it needs to be.

01

Product Documentation & Registration

All required documentation — compositions, certifications, brand authorization — is compiled and submitted to Egyptian regulatory authorities for review and approval before anything ships.

02

Shipment Arrival

Goods arrive at designated Egyptian ports. Continental manages all arrival logistics, port documentation, and initial classification on arrival.

03

Customs Clearance

Full customs clearance is handled — tariff classification, duty assessment, and release documentation. No shortcuts in this step, because shortcuts here create problems that follow the product for life.

04

Controlled Handling & Storage

Products transfer to an approved facility for controlled storage and processing prior to inspection. Chain of custody is documented throughout.

05

Unit Marking & Compliance Identification

Each unit receives laser marking, Arabic labeling where required, and compliance identification per Egyptian standards. This is what makes every unit traceable from import through end sale.

06

Regulatory Inspection

Egyptian Drug Authority conducts formal inspection — verifying health, safety, and quality compliance. Products do not move until this is complete.

07

Release to Approved Distributor

Upon full clearance, product is released exclusively to authorized distributors operating within the controlled structure. This is the only exit from the chain.

Control & Compliance

Real enforcement starts
with proper registration.

Most of the grey market problem in Egypt exists because brands never established proper registration. Once you do, the situation changes — unauthorized product becomes legally actionable, not just commercially inconvenient.

What Registration Gives You

  • Sole authorized importer status — only your product enters legally
  • Power of Attorney from the brand, notarized and legalized
  • Ability to challenge unauthorized imports through customs and regulatory channels
  • Documented chain of custody from origin to distributor
  • Clear exit structure with defined terms if the relationship ends

What That Means in Practice

  • Grey market activity becomes an enforcement matter, not just a commercial headache
  • Pricing holds because supply is controlled at the source
  • Every unit is identifiable — counterfeits and diversions are traceable
  • Brands enter with legal infrastructure already in place, not built after the fact
  • Distributors operate with clear scope and accountability baked in from day one
Who We Work With

import channel.

01

International Brands

Global professional beauty brands that want a compliant, controlled pathway into Egypt. We act as the licensed importer of record — handling all regulatory, customs, and compliance requirements so the brand enters through proper legal channels and maintains the structure needed to grow correctly.

02

Approved Distributors

Egyptian distribution partners operating within the authorized import structure. Working with Continental means receiving product that has been properly cleared, inspected, documented, and released through the regulated process — with the brand protection and pricing integrity that comes with it.
